Dear Friends,

For us, there is nothing like the comfort of home – the fresh scent of the pastures after a spring rain; blossoms on fruit trees.  Chirping birds are constant accompaniment for everything we do.  On lazy days in summer, the rich scent of the horses lingers at the stables, and we will often spend sultry evenings relaxing and sipping wine in the cool courtyard.  Autumn finds deer and bears, quietly munching on sweet fallen apples in nearby orchards.  On sunny winter days, we bundle up for a spirited ride in fresh snow – and later dash to warm our feet by the stone fireplace.   We can look out the windows and watch the horses’ breath rising as they cozy up, snug in their fluffy winter coats.

Red Barn Ranch is a country cottage getaway – a rustic yet elegant farm house B&B nestled in Prairie Valley, surrounded by lush vineyards and orchards.  We offer a variety of delicious homemade breakfasts.  Later, you can opt for a guided trail ride on our gentle horses, and we are just minutes from many local wineries, freshwater lakes and beaches, and the charming shops in downtown Summerland.  We would be happy to help you plan any adventure you choose during your stay.
